China Journal: Dancing with a Sleeping Giant

In 1995 I spent a month in the People's Republic of China. I spent two weeks as a visiting scientist at the Laboratory for Atmospheric Sciences and Geophysics in Beijing, and travelled to Datong, Xi'an, and Guilin.
