This is a presentation on James Surowiecki's book The Wisdom of Crowds (Doubleday, 2004). His book is worth reading just for his description of the Ultimatum Game and the Public Goods Game, games used by economists and anthropologists to demonstrate that primates (at least) appear to have an intrinsic sense of fair play. If I were a corporate executive with an outrageous compensation package, this would really concern me. On the other hand, I can only hope to have such a problem someday. Anyway, the entire book is fascinating. The presentation is available as a PDF file.
